Montreal, Quebec
Residential
Built
The project involves the complete renovation of a small Victorian house in Montreal's Outremont district. It focuses on connecting the interior spaces with the courtyard by opening the rear facade and adding a glazed kitchen in a small addition. The material intervention is singularly expressed with limestone faces and clear anodized aluminum linear elements. Together, these elements create an enveloping effect that contrasts with the original red brick but maintains the identity of the building.
