The project consists of the complete renovation of the ground and basement floors, as well as the design of a small addition at the back of the house. The client wished to expand the living quarters by connecting previously separated spaces as well as opening the house up to a new terrace and a generous backyard. Starting at the entrance, the house becomes structured along an axis; a long service block that contains storage and the kitchen island, as well as the living room library. This block separates the living spaces from circulatory areas, such as the entrance, access areas to the main floor and basement, and the garage. At the back of the house, the small gray stucco addition opens onto the courtyard and a large brushed-concrete terrace.
