The entire floor plan is organized around the central placement of the kitchen unit. Freestanding on all sides, this volume separates the service areas at the front from the living spaces at the rear. On either side of the block, two symmetrical voids house the staircase to the upper floor on one side and a large skylight on the other. These openings flood the core of the house with natural light and create a visual link to the upstairs circulation. The exposed wooden structure, deep enough to span without intermediate columns, accentuates the geometry of the elements shaping the space. At the rear, a grid of slender columns supporting metal grate balconies establishes a framework that is both precise and airy.
