The project expresses itself within the landscape, asserting its nature as an object and its abstraction. The wooded house floats above a conspicuous terrain —cantilevered on all four sides from a concrete base — to situate the resident in elevation within the trees. The repetition and symmetry of the facade echo that of the nine-cell plan organization, with both methodically using systems of order as a point of departure for varied interior and exterior experiences. This ambiguity modulates a domestic universe where uses interconnect fluidly, sometimes grazing and sometimes plunging into the surrounding landscape.
